You're My Boy Blue!
DIFFICULTY: MODERATE
TIME: 5 MIN + 20 MIN FOR SYRUP
GLASSWARE: LOWBALL
RECIPE:
1 ½ oz La Luna Cupreata Mezcal
½ oz Sharab Shrubs Blueberry Poblano Shrub
¾ oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
½ oz Poblano Syrup *
¼ oz Tattersall Orange Crema (or Cointreau)
Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Strain into a lowball with a large rock of ice. Garnish with a lime slice.
Poblano Syrup:
200 g Water (about 1 cup)
200 g Granulated White Sugar (about 1 cup)
50 g Poblano Peppers, de-seeded & rough-chopped (about ¼ cup)
Combine ingredients in a pot, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Simmer for 6 or 7 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 minutes; strain into a resealable container and use right away, or store for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.
