“These Carmen peppers are sweet and aromatic. They look like they would be spicy, but they are not. Let's roast a bunch of them and use a few for a cocktail. They are best used in a Bloody Mary that is literally dragged through the garden. We want vibrant, summer flavors; very different than packaged Bloody Mary mixes (not that there's anything wrong with those). You only need to roast 4 peppers for this recipe but, if you roast them all, just eat the leftovers!”

Recipe (Makes 4 Cocktails):
4 Carmen Peppers
3 Cups Tomato Juice
Juice From ½ Lemon
1 Generous Pinch Salt
INSTRUCTIONS:
Roast peppers in the oven or on the grill until the skin is slightly charred and the peppers are tender.
In a blender combine roasted peppers, tomato juice, salt and lemon juice. Blend!
Prepare 4 ice-filled Collins glasses. Pour 1 ½ oz Syvä vodka to each, and top with approximately 6 oz blended mix.
Add more salt to taste and garnish with fresh herbs and pickles, if you feel so inclined.
