Euphegenia Doubtfire Dear
Tiki drinks are fun and fruity combinations that usually include several different blends of rum and tropical juices. This tiki drink, named for the classic Robin Williams character in Mrs. Doubtfire, gets its name from the firey garnish.
The Euphegenia Doubtfire Dear combines several Plantation rum products -- including the newly available Plantation 3 Star Pineapple Aged Rum -- with notes of burnt rosemary and cinnamon from the garnish. Be safe when working with an open flame.
Recipe:
- 3 oz house rum mixture *
- Splash of lime sour mix **
- Splash of pineapple juice
- 4 dashes angostura bitters
- Sprig of rosemary
* LoLo's house rum mixture contains:
- Pot still Jamaican rum
- Plantation Aged rum
- Plantation Dark rum
- Plantation Pineapple Aged rum
- Velvet Falernum
- Clear rum
- Passion fruit puree
** To make lemon sour combine equal parts of lemon juice and simple syrup, by volume.
Instructions:
Shake all ingredients and strain in tall glass filled with ice, leaving enough room to float a hollowed-out lime half, known as a "lime boat." Garnish drink by placing a sprig of rosemary next to lime boat, and fill boat with ovenproof rum. Using caution, light rum on fire and allow rosemary to burn until fragrant. Dust flame with ground cinnamon before extinguishing flame. Serve when cooled.
LoLo American Kitchen & Craft Bar means "Locally Owned; Locally Operated." They serve upscale food with latin influences in a neighborhood setting.
